I finally went ahead and ordered my vent fan for my teardrop/cycle hauler build. I am getting pretty stoked at the progress coming up this week. On this coming Thursday, I pick up my custom built 6x12 trailer from the welders so I can finaly begin assembling the teardrop onto the deck. In celebration of the trailer, I ordered my Fan-Tastic Fan last night. I went ahead and got the most fancy model I could afford. I got the Model 6000RBTA that has the thermostatic Control and the rain sensor which will close the vent lid upon it getting wet. Overboard, probably, but this is my first teardrop so might as well go BIG!!!! Right?

I shopped around to find the best price and found a few dealers selling the Model 6000RBTA for $299 and got lucky and found a place in Sevierville, Tennessee that had it for $194.

Behold the beauty of my vent fan. :applause:

Believe it or not, when I did a search for the Model 6000RBTA, that site came up and I did check it out. I managed to get what I wanted since I only needed the cover in polar white. I feel like I got a pretty good deal plus I live in Tennesee too so it is arriving first thing on Monday morn. They are lightning fast with their shipping.

Next investment is going to be a few sheets of Filon. Can hardly wait to pick up my custom trailer on Thursday.

p.s. oh yeah...they say a 14x14 opening but you need to make it 14.25x14.25 or you will have to use a sledge to install in...and double the framing around it so as to have enough "meat" for the mounting screws to bite into....

Thanks Madjack, I was about to start framing for it and read several posts about the actual 14 1/4" x14 1/4" size but since you are THE MAN, I tend to follow your advice to the letter. :worship: Fed Ex shows it's already at the Memphis Hub and ready for delivery in the morn. I am like a kid at Christmas. :?
