Lil Bear license plate light/holder mounting

Postby greasywheats » Tue Mar 13, 2007 5:13 pm

Tried getting a hold of Grant (Lil Bear) with the question below, but haven't gotten a reply just yet. Wondering if anyone can help...

On the license plate light/holder that I got from you… there is a foam gasket and 2 rubber bumpers. I don’t recall how all this was put together…does the foam gasket go between the backside of the license plate holder and the TD body? Are the rubber bumbers used if you need the assembly to stand proud of the TD side?

Thanks!

Me thinks that the foam gasket goes between the body and holder and the bumpers go into the bottom holes of the license plate to keep it from hitting the body.

I had the same problem and almost destroyed the black gasket. I stole this from Tom Swenson's Cubby album. From looking at mine I see the white plate then the large black gasket and then the chrome. :D Danny

Here is Grant's response that I got shortly after posting....

"Yes, I put the foam gasket between the backside of the light and the TD body ... I usually throw the rubber bumpers away, but I suppose you could use them between the bottom of the pate and the TD body ... never been and issue with me so I never gave it much thought ... ;-} ;-} ...!

CHEERS!

Grant"
