 Critter I had that battle with myself before I even got going only because my biggest project was a book shelf/desk that turned out really well. Except for all the wood fill.

A suggestion---get door skins and glue them on. Stand them at an angle so the grain makes a pattern. OH and sand all that other stuff off first so the glue will stick  ;) ;)

It does usually seem to be cheaper to do it right the first time. I guess we all pretty much have some 'Lessons learned'!

Critter

If you feel frustrated... dont do any building for awhile...even for a day..
When your relaxed then go at it again... rest the nerves...

Im speaking from experience here way up in the North... Ive had many frustrating times believe me... After a good rest it sure helps...

Then Bingo -All of a sudden you have a new plan and then set forth...

Just my opinion...but dont give up...

Classic Finn ;)

This is really not what I need to hear as I'm getting ready for the "finish" section... I too have one side out the wrong way... but my plan is to epoxy, epoxy, epoxy and try to get 'er pretty smooth filling all holes, edges, coating and some glass work if I have to on the "bad" stuff...I know you don't want to hear this...BUT...your paint is pretty soft yet, what kind of paint did you use, could you sand it lightly and topcoat it again... - if you're that upset about it strip it down and fix it, then reapply epoxy, primer, paint... I know, that sounds like a crazy amount of work, but maybe it's an option???? I know spring is here and you'd rathing be "in" it than "on" it...so I totally understand. I'm sorry your upset with your project, but remember... YOU built it and I'd venture to say, outside of this forum, not many could do that and you should feel MIGHTY proud of your skill, ability, desire, determination.... when I use to have something I did that I didn't think was up to snuff my dad would always say..."hey, it's worse than some, but BETTER THAN MOST"... load it up, grab some steaks, a bottle of wine and head to the nearest camping spot and "enjoy"... I think you'll really enjoy YOUR work... anyone can write a check and buy one..... yours is YOURS

Ha Ha Ha. Give me money and tempt me. I might leave home this week.

Critter is your camera broke. If the camera can't pick up the boo boo's they aint there. Other wise some door skins will cost you about $24 maybe $36 if you use 3 to a side. Then paint or varnish.
