Good Morning from the Arctic Sky Shop :D :D ... I was wondering if this is the correct tool for making the hole in the bottom of the Sink Bowl or Mini Sink that Madjack or Mary K used...or mentioned,
Im doing so much here right now at one time that these things are just sprouting up all over the place and un announced... when not even searching...for things

Just by accident I was looking for a faucet to install and I stumbled upon this.....here in Reindeer Land

Image its 35mm in diam..and cost here is 8 Euro which is about 9 -10 USD.

Ohhh Please say that is the correct tool.... :worship: :worship:

Classic Finn

PS I found some real genuine North American Cedar here as well ....Im running across some different ideas on it too .. man that stuff smells great. and looks very nice..

What does cedar look like when varnished or waxed?

That certainly appears to be the correct tool to cut a round hole in metal.

That is the tool!

Make the hole for the bolt two drill sizes bigger than is needed. The slug will bend and gum up to the threads making it hard to tighten the bolt. Put some light machine oil on the threads. Crank a way you should end up with a hole the size of the die. It will be a little sharp so you need to do file off the burs. Use your safety glasses! :SG

Heiki.. that is the proper tool... but..... Your drain will NOT sit flush. In order for your drain to sit flush you have to dimple the bottom first. The way to do that is to get a punch,( the tool you found) a little bigger than your drain...usually about 3". Turn the cutter upside down, and crank it until it goes in about an!/8 to !/4 inch. Then cut your hole the size of your drain tube in the centre. This will make your drain fit flush with the bottom of your sink.

I tried it with a 2" cutter and it works. I don't have a 3", they cost about 245$ here in Canada.....can't convince my Boss to buy one

I did post this in another thread... I think it was Mary's when she got her sink.....

Save yourself some time and use an impact wrench to tighten it down. After cutting 4 or 5 holes, those dies get hot.
