Galley

Well here is what my galley looks like for now. I finished all I plan to do before Beaver's Bend this weekend. I'll have a little varnishing to do when we get home.
Image

I made hatch supports from 1X3 poplar and hinged them on the bottom.
Image

On the hatch side I screwed an angle bracket for the top end to sit in.
Image

Then I attached spring loaded hook and eye catches to keep the wind from lifting the hatch off the supports.
Image

Unhook the top and fold the braces down and close the hatch.

Mentally I'm planning #2, in reality I may never finish #1. :?

Are we there yet?

:applause: Looks good from here. Mine isn't finished and I can't even think about that kind of hatch support cause I can't reach it. Great idea though.
