Galley

Well here is what my galley looks like for now. I finished all I plan to do before Beaver's Bend this weekend. I'll have a little varnishing to do when we get home.

I made hatch supports from 1X3 poplar and hinged them on the bottom.

On the hatch side I screwed an angle bracket for the top end to sit in.

Then I attached spring loaded hook and eye catches to keep the wind from lifting the hatch off the supports.

Unhook the top and fold the braces down and close the hatch.

Mentally I'm planning #2, in reality I may never finish #1. :?

Hey, I have the same lights for my galley...without the switch though..

Looks good Scott...I checked your album and didn't see any photos of what's inside the hinged hatch's in the galley...is it a drop in cooler or storage or what? take 'r out for a trial run and get some pics for us of the galley in action this weekend...have fun guy....Doug :thumbsup:

:applause: Looks good from here. Mine isn't finished and I can't even think about that kind of hatch support cause I can't reach it. :cry: Great idea though. :thumbsup:
