I have been messing with these to day. Just a trial run. Don't know if I'm gonna go with it or not. Just trying to save $$$ by using up my scrap.

Hey, I'm just trying to keep up with my Picture payments, okay?

Mary,

Here's a couple of pics that show how you can use build up to allow you to shape the fender.

Mary,
The sand bag looks quite elegant, I've been thinking of adding them to my trailer. Did you get them out of New Orleans?
:woohoo:

 Very nice Mary
I'll be watching closely because that's sort of what I was Thinking for my next Tear oops did I say that.
I want Full size tires and fenders and about half the weight of what I have now (which I'm afraid to find out)

Looks great Mary!! I'll be expecting full details, since I will be building my own as well! I am looking to do something very similar to what you are doing, might even use a handy dandy sandbag clamp as well! :)

Mary, those fenders look just fine. I'm a fan of building fenders. Not only are they cheaper than buying, they add to the "uniqueness" of your trailer. I can't see the inside, but yours are probably built much like mine. Here's a brief look at my construction of my fenders.

They could have been made lighter by using 1/2" plywood for the side frames, or just edging the 1/2" plywood with 3/4" x 3/4" strips to attach the skins to. But, I wanted them solidly built and wasn't worried about the extra weight. And, of course, the skin edges were trimmed and sanded flush with the sides.
