Does any body know where I can get a barbed tail piece for my sink drain? I have a 2" drain and want to run a small - 3/8" to 5/8" clear plastic hose from the drain instead of the 1 1/2" plastic drain tailpiece.

Couldn't you cap, the 2" with a PVC cap and drill and set the correct barbed piece into the cap?

Mr Jack, Dont know if this will help, but here is what I did. Thanks to Pop at the Mom & Pop Hardware store.
I got one of these and it adapts the plastic drain to a PVC coupler to a male hose fitting.
There are more pictures on page 11 of my Build pic Linky.
The hardest part to find was going from the plastic to PVC. This adapter did it. You might then beable to find a coupler to attach to the adapter then to your barbed tube fitting.

Wow, thanks guys, I certainly appreciate the photos and what you've done to help. I guess there is no real universal answer, seems like everyone designs their own. You've gone out of your way to help and that means a lot. I estimate that I'm about 85% done with this project and hope to see you all there at the ITG. By the way, this TD will be for sale.
Many Thanks
