BOAT IN THE BASEMENT

Postby James & Avisia Flohr » Thu May 03, 2007 6:33 pm

:) I am one proud puppy. I just dry fit the driver side wall of our TD and it fit and was perpendicular. UNBELIEVABLE!!! :applause: I am now going to start on the passenger side. I'm hopeful that I will have the same success. I wish to thank all the participants on this forum for most of the information I used to do this project thus far. Especially MADJACK who's calm, reliable and noninsulting manner is refreshing. Thanx to all, Jim ;)

BOAT IN A BASEMENT

Postby James & Avisia Flohr » Thu May 03, 2007 7:33 pm

:x The title should say it all, but I'll explain. :( The TD is 84" from the ground to the top while the garage is 82" from the driveway to the top of the garage. I knew it would be close, but :? !!!  Jim

 Sorry, ummmm Have you let the air out of the tires? Can you take the axle off and sled it out on some rollers of some kind.

I almost had that issue too, I actually have 3 inches clearance. :?

Thinking of either reversing the axle placement on the springs, or removing the wheels and sledding the 'darlin' out into the sunshine. As far as pics, "you seen one, you've seen 'em all". :) Thanx, Jim

How is this a choice?

Aren't you gonna want to bring it back INTO the garage anyway, at some point in time?

Reverse the axle placement, and see if that works.
Here we go again!

Or don't even put wheels on it and camp in the garage. I've started sleeping in mine on the weekends in the shop just for the hell of it since I never get to go camping.

Only two inches? That's pretty close, and you can always do wonders with a chainsaw.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

An 18 wheeler was stuck ander a low bridge. The fire dept., Police, and tow truck drivrs were standing around scratching their heads trying to figure out how to get him disloged.

A little boy standing in the watching crowd looked up at his father and said...." why don't they just let some air out of the tires????....

Thinking outside of the box..... 8)
