Yet another Ac question

Postby dulcimerbob » Sun May 06, 2007 6:10 pm

I have TTT and the former owner mounted a room ac in the back window and it annoys the crap out of me. It's really in the way and makes the sofa bed it's mounted over feel more claustrophobic. I want to reclaim my window and move the AC to a closet that has a small window I can hang it out of. I'll open the door on the closet when I run the Ac and let the cool air flow . Does this sound as though it will work? I plan to put it on a sliding shelf and keep it inside the closet when not being used and roll it out as needed. Also considered this as a "central unit" and running ductwork into the sleeping area. All help and ideas appreciated.

Isn't that what Len did on his homemade Shasta?

Sort of the same . My ac will back in a closet about 18-24 inches when running . I suppose the cold air will get to the bunk area . 5000 btu in 56sqft. I might put a grill in the door and a fan to pull the air into the cabin.
