As long as Im working in the Galley - I thought I should find out and see which way is the proper way of installing the slides for the cooler.

I do have a hunch but thought Id make sure which way these things should install..this is like learning a new language..

Here are a couple of pics I took this evening or should I say morning..showing the slides flat instead of on their sides..Is this the correct way or should they be on the sides instead?

Most drawer slides are designed to operate in a vertical position. If you lay them flat they simply will not carry the weight of a cooler.

Heikki, I have slides like that and they go vertical on the side of a drawer, unless yours say specifically they are bottom mount.

Could you hurry up so I can borrow your idea's. Looks like you have little tabs for the screws too.

Actually you have to back track and find out what the slides were designed to do...... There is two styles, some mount vertically and some horizontal... The horizontal types are typically used UNDER pullout shelving in pots & pans area under kitchen counters. The other style mount on sides of drawers to cabinet walls...

Try searching product name and model number to see design criteria...

My "guess" by the ball bearing design and the bent out tabs, they mount vertically like in last picture...

The type of slides that I used are full extension #100 and mount on the sides.

Yup they have the lil tabs on them.. so I need to have one installed into the wall there and then make a side brace for the other side..

Im hurrying... about as fast as a turtle on land..

going out to do some cutting and gluing and...

Denny's sliders don't have the tabs. That probably means you bottom mount the tabs and it will line up you slider. Mine is like Denny's and I have to measure up.
