A good friend of mine works for this company as the stock and wharehouse manager http://www.laminex.com.au He knows I'm starting on my TD shortly and has said if there is anything on the site I can use to let him know. I'm looking at the wall surfacing product called aqua panel. Does it look suitable? it is 2.7mm thick and needs to be supported evey 450mm but that's about it, looks good for the internal walls to me but confirmation would be good

Beautiful stuff. Have you considered how it will be attached? If you are using contact cement (where you stick both sides and the stick is instant) you will need to leave room to maneuver Your panels.

If you make the sides finished (back front and inside) before assembly this might be easier.

I have considered using laminate also......Wilsonart has so many styles/colors. Miriam is right on with the installation problem. The best way I think is to have it pre-applied.

That laminate should be predone if it is to stay on as it should.
I dealt with the same material here in Finland.

We used a huge press to do that with and it should also contain heat to properly adhere. Here is the press. Also it is best to plan ahead and predrill all mounting points. also so that mouldings will cover the areas where the screws would be inserted..
Our Mahogany Veneer was pressed on and the Aluminum was done on a huge Vacuum table. Id say it has both its advantages and disadvantages.






We are working on another way to do the 2nd tear in the future. We,ll see.
