Need ideas for IceBox shelves

I need to install some shelves in my ice box,The ones that were in it are crapola! I restored the IceBox and need some ideas for a shelf to put the block ice on (must hold water to drain through hose in bottom ),shelves for food and stuff. The ice box is 15 3/4" deep by 14 1/2" wide inside.
I am also looking for a timer to turn on a fan once in awhile to circulate the air.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!! Thanks Aaron

Airspeed... How about vinyl covered closet shelving? They come with little plastic tips to cover the cut ends too. Just a a thought...

Are you gonna use the ice box as pictured? Or instead, with the lid opening up?

It will be used as it sits,like a regular fridge. I am even putting a light in it that turns on when open. here it is installed, Thanks, Aaron

Cut up some "cooling racks" to fit just right. You know, the things that you put cookies on when you take them off the flat cookie sheets. They make them in aluminum so no rust. The vinyl covered shelving will rust if left in a damp environment. I had them rust in our laundry room just from the humidity.

You might consider checking out some small shelf organizers at Target or Wal*Mart. They're designed to fit in school lockers, so you should be able to find something that should work for the ice box.
I use something like this to gain more counter space at home.

An Ice Box normally uses a shallow tray to keep things dry underneath it, how about a plastic storage box from Walmart modified to sit down inside of a wire frame shelf? Then run the hose from the box to the drain.

I'm using a Coleman brand steel belted cooler. I discovered that the local restaurant supplier sells clear plastic food service bins with lips on them that hang perfectly on the moulded interior ledge of my cooler. In these bins I will be keeping my ice supply. (Or I may keep ice somewhere else and use the bins to keep food that I don't want to get wet)

You could probably do something similar if you either rigged some kind of rail to the inside of your fridge and hung the bins on them or if you set in one of the metal shelving units that others have suggested and park the bin on top.

Then all you would need to do is provide a drain through this bin. Or take it out and dump it every now and again. That is what I will do..

I like your rig. I hope I never have to park next to it.
