Front Box Lid Question

Well here are a few more pics from yesterdays progress of the front box..

Im just wondering if its too high though..  The glue is still drying on it and I dont want to release the screws just yet...Also the box lower portion fits nicely to the lower portion of the front too, along the radius ..even though it was a bit tricky to get it to fit but it fits :D :D

I have Stainless Hinge to go on yet this evening.. and install the hinged shelf ... so it has 2 sections.. one for the battery and charger and top for
other things such as fishing rods, paddles and ... whatever we come up with ... :)

But in any case some more progress made once more..

Did any of you folks coat the outside or inside of the box before skinning it? for additional protection..

Here are a couple of pics...

Hi Jeff

Thanks for the kind words, Im glad how it turned out.. Yes the box will be up against the front of the tear ... or I may leave a small gap there..Im not really 100 percent sure yet but most likely yes..

Im just debating if it is too high but the neighbors said leave it, in there opinion it looked right and great as it is..

But anyway my oldest son is out sanding and finishing it up..so a lil help from my good son and buddy..

Best regards

Looking good Heikki  . Where is the door/lid located on the tongue box? I like how you placed the VW windows high enough so no one can casually peak inside, looks like the back side of a 40 Ford. :applause: :D Danny

Ahhh Shucks...  Thank You Barb.. We feel as though that was the easiest of the entire build so far... Hmmm   wonder why...And I didnt have to build a 2nd one...

Isnt it amazing as to what a jig saw and a couple of sanders can do.. because thats about all I have ...ohh except a circular saw and router...  Now if I had a table saw to work with ...it would be a down right party... :D :wakka wakka: :coffee:

Heikki, I like your moose logo  but I think your logo would be seen by more people on the galley hatch even though it looks great on the tongue box, just my 2 cents worth ;) . Just curious, what is the function of the black capped pipe coming out of the ground next to the building in this photo? Are you still going to do a TD trip :vroom: on the west coast this year? :) Danny

Hey Finnish Person,
Why do you ask these fool questions? You ALWAYS do great work and you should be very proud of what you are doing. Nothing you have done is wrong and I envy your work - some kind of Finnish carpenter you are. Looks fantastic - keep coming up with these ideas and you are sure to be the envy of Finnlandia.
Good luck as always and certainly - good fortune my friend....
