Which leads me to door hinges....
I know nothing about hinges. I had it in the back of my mind to use a pair of good quality lift off hinges for the door...but I know most everyone uses piano hinges. Are there pros and cons? Would lift off hinges work?...I have a full 36 inches on the hinge side of the door, so I could get a standard length piano hinge. But if I didn't..can you cut a piano hinge? Thanks...Juneaudave

For my Coach I'm just using reg 4" gate hinges from Stanely. They are regular door hinges, but painted black. I decided I couldn't use a piano hinge because I'm putting the "gingerboard" as Mike calls it around the door, and the P hinges were not wide enough. They won't screw into the door, only the molding on the outside.
By the way.......I thought my shop was messy, but if they had the "Messiest workshop" contest right now ...You would be a shoo-in.....
Your tear looks fantastic ,by the way. I like what your doing to the sides.
