Made some progress today

Postby csdivine » Sat Jun 09, 2007 11:14 pm

Today I got the galley lower cabinet area roughed in, got the substrate for the countertop built, installed the divider wall between the galley and cabin, and rough-cut the cabin cabinet face. The cabin cabinet face needs a lot of sanding and squaring up before it'll be ready for the oak veneer.

So far, the only firm decisions I've made are: I want two drawers in the galley, one for for cooking utentils and another for eating utensils. And, I want the center opening in the cabin cabinets to be wide enough for a 19" LCD widescreen TV.

One day at a time....

Chris,
Its shaping up & looking good. Building TDs is definitely a one step, one day at a time project.
That's what we are doing to, is putting in two drawers. Ours are basically built, but I have yet to get them stained & finished. Since there is just the two of us, I also got some little containers I can put in the drawers, one for the silverware & another for other cooking gadgets to keep the drawer more organized.
Keep up the good work.

Jeeper,

It's a 5x10 and it's on the ground because it is going to be a teardrop module for putting on and off my utility trailer. I still need to be able to use the trailer, even when I'm not using the tear.
I suppose I should put an explanation like that on my website. You're not the first to have looked at it funny and asked that.

Thanks,
Chris
