Will a 4 watt solar charger do anything ? I saw one at a local junk store for $10, would 4 watts maintain the battery in my tear? all I run in my tear is the on demand water pump and a few lights at night. what can I expect from 4 watts? Thanks !!! Aaron

...the short answer is not much...it would be great to leave hooked up while the tear is sitting at home or in storage...it would only add up to no more than a 3ah gain per day...it might extend your camping a day orso..........

If I saw a 4 watt solar charger at a junk store for $10, I would have it at home befoe I asked any questions. For $10 bucks I thing it is cool enough to have even if it dosn't help very much.

I think I will pick it up in the morning, If nothing else I can throw it on in the winter to maintain the battery.
Thanks, Aaron

Get 4 of them and wire them in parallel with a 1-amp 200v diode between the panels. The diode will keep the panel from trying to back charge the other panel. The diodes just isolate each panel from each outer. You will get 16 watts of charging in full sun that is 1 amp hour, not bad for $40 bucks.
