Mocked up the cabinets in osb to save $$$. I will build with hardwood plywood later. Mounted the cabinets to the sides they swing out and the large pantry door swings down to lock the cabinets in their outward position and complete 10' of countertop.

Just out of curiosity, I like the design, How much distance between the cabinets when rotated out?

Cool, And for people not as ambitious ( such as I ) Swing out just the sink for an L shaped galleryand leave the stove in traditional position, might get a little better wind protection. But it may not make a big difference. Laying out my profile today. Wish me luck. :o

Another method for a u-shaped galley..

The Rondack will get a similar set-up. The stove pull-out will be rotated so that the stove faces into the U. The sink will be on top of a drawer unit.

i like the OSB! with the exception of the black markings they put on it! i'm not kidding, i like it! seal it and it's good to go!

plus you probably save a lot of weight with it. but are those 2x4's supporting your galley wall? could those be made with smaller stuff?

;)

Nice design...

I did something similar, but they swing in for bad weather...

In good weather they would be in your stored position.

Probably could have been but they were handy and free. This area will become a shallow pantry for canned and boxed goods so they will be drilled for shelf supports. I kinda wished I had had some 1x4 handy but they will give me more meat to attach the hinge or hinges for the oversize pantry door / countertop

I just sat the stove there. It can be placed on the drop down countertop just as easily to avoid the wind. I even thought of making the left cabinet into a dedicated cooler but the weight was my only concern.
