Is luan like paneling?
DO you use it on the outside?
I was tihnking 1/4 plywood with 1 inch furrign strips as ribs, any place that there is a bunk or ac unit or stove area or door im going to use ripped 2x4s. It will be flimsy at first but as i add all of the goods inside I tihnk it will be sturdy. I am going to use the ripped 2x4s to "connect the walls how many? depends on which design I settle on.
The big question is how do I join the ply woods that are going to make the side? THnaks guys I appreciate everythign you are all doing to help

Jeeper, you might want to reconsider using 1/4" laun plywood on a standy. I built mine that way, but didn't have to make joints, which will have to occur every 4 ft on your build. You failed to tell us if you plan to cover the exterior with aluminum or some other material. You are right about it being flimsy, but only due to the long, unsupported expanses encountered with 6 ft high walls. In my tear, there is a 1x2 every 2 ft or so, either vertical or horizontal and is very solid. Hope you get some valid building tips from others reading your post. Enjoy your build and be sure to take and share pics of your progress.

Roly, in the middle of rebuilding the interior of my 10 ft Standy :)
