In searching the forum, Ive found that some folks have used Flashing tape, (Butyl with an aluminum backing). I have my sides and top covered and am ready to install the trim. I see where folks are using Silcone, and EBS, PL construction adhesive....Id think the tape would work well, any thoughts or concerns? any realworld experience on longevity?

Thanks,

The best flashing tape on earth is sold at roofing supply places, not at HD:

It's called Eterna-Bond.

I have roofing buddies who tell me that ALL the roofers use this stuff for very long-time easy waterproofing fixes.

I used it for my vent, and so far, so good.

Ira, the stuff at HD cant be that bad, perhaps a less substrate, but passable? Looks like Etern-a-bond has RV products as well. kinda spendy, but im sure its worth it.

Thank you Sir
