where to start??
Posted: Sun Dec 26, 2004 11:33 pmIn my design the front looks like a teardrop but the back goes straight back and is square at the back like a box.
the front as the walls go up will have the usaual cross bars between the side walls but before I start that I am thinking of creating a set of Ribs to the back. Each Rib would be made out of 2x2 s looking like an "O" only square.
the sides running the hight of the trailer and the top and bottom the width.
The bottom would be attached (screwed and glued) to the floor.
3 Ribs one near front, one center and one at the back. Then attaching the plywood sides to the rib. Then as I attach the sides I can screw and glue them to the Ribs.
I can drill the ribs at put PCV pipe through theses wholes for wiring. sides for brake lights, top for marker lights, dome light, 3rd brake light. bottom for plugs. Each could have several sets of different colored wires incase I forgot something.
Then isolation could be added and inside skin of thinner plywood attching to rib. Roof would be simalar to sides. and floor also.

Should the top and the front plywood be the same peice or should the edges be feathered?
This is my vision would it work.
Frame will be later either a utlity trailer, attached trailer or first riding in the bed of a truck.
More to come doors, wholes for lights& wiring (before inside skins), and galley last (I almost made it first but realized I did not know demention un till I had final back opening done)
I will try a miniture cardboard cerial box model first.
