Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I built my trailer to get the maximunm height out of it so by doing that I eliminated the possibility of mounting a fan on top, is it possible to get one of these and mount it to teh side or front of a trailer????

Your best bet might be to ask the manufacturer of whatever fan you want to use if it can be used in a vertical installation as opposed to a horizontal one...some of the motors may not be able to handle the load in a horizontal position depending on the fan design and size... Doug

Im guessing you dont know of any off hand that are able to be mounted on a wall do ya?

You know, this is the second question that I've read tonight asked by a Jeeper92. Both questions you've come back with a 'know-it-all' reply. Why don't you just design your own awning and install the fan which ever way you feel it will work. Then let us all know so we can follow you.

I'm with Gage, but I'm going to answer anyway. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you don't realize how rude your responses sound.

I'm thinking about trying one of these http://store.sundancesolar.com/sunsolpowven.html They mount in any position and are cheap enough to experiment with. My teardrop is for hauling a gokart, not camping, so I need ventilation when it's warm to vent out the gasoline fumes. I didn't want to use a standard camper fan due to the size and appearance. I'm currently using 4 of these http://www.kmtparts.com/catalog.asp?prodid=477995&showprevnext=1 for natural ventilation.

Use a side wall bath fan. You are allowed to think a little outside the box. All parts do not have to be available in an rv center. I mounted an O2Kool fan available at Wally World ( Walmart ) for $38.00 its AC DC and also has it's own battery pack.

I'm not sure on the height restriction limitations you have to abide by or the actual meaning of your statement about "getting maximum height out of it"
But that must be one damn high TD if you cannot get a fan in the roof.

And, by the way, I agree with the sentiments being expressed about the abruptness of your replies. Ask the questions, for sure, but be prepared to accept the answers that are given in good faith. Then make up your own mind, as you seem want to do.

Its a ttt not a tear, Its 81 inches from gorund to ceiling and just fits in my garge (makes it by a 1/4 of an inch

would one or several computer fans work in the walls?

In the ceiling would be better, but I bought the Shadow and don't really know if there's structure between the skins where I would need it.

It is tall, but i needed the room for my kids. Its not gonna be actually taken off road, ill tow it to the off road places and camp. THen go off roading, I also will be using it to take weekend trips down to the shore for fishign with my nephew. My wife made the design really easy. Had to fit in the garage ahd to fit at least two kids and a full size bed for two adults and it had to be towed by the jeep. I think the limitations actually helped me narrow down what i actually wanted. So things all worked out for hte better in the end. Im telling ya its not gonna be pretty to teh people on this site, its 6x10 and as square as they come. Im not to crazy about the rounded tear drops, in my opinion i think mikes weekender design is the best looking on the entire site
