It's a start

Well I have officially started the tear. I took off the whole week between Christmas and New year to work on the tear but I was only able to work on it two days  I have both sides and doors cut out . The floor done and the black roofing tar on the bottom. (SteveH, that is some nasty stuff but works great thank you very much for the gift) As soon as the weather clears I will start to cut out the cabinets. I think I will hold off attaching the sides to the floor until I get the frame built. I don't think I can lift the whole thing by myself to put it on the frame. As soon as I can get the camera from my wife I will take a few shots. The plan is to take it to California in July, so I better get moving.

Steve,

Sounds like you got a lot done. If you ever need an extra hand to do some task or just need a weak mind to help lift something, just give me a holler and I'll be there. Keep up the good work!

I am just now researching woods and places to buy I too have a fellow teardropper in the next town over and the man who builds Mactears has moved there also. Time to start pickin other peoples brains.

Trail of tears

You make it sound simple.

Better wait till the rain stops and the snow melts. California drivers do not know how to drive in either .... it gets dagerous here. So you are building at the right time when you are done we should be back to good weather.

things to check
http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/latestfault.htm
just put your mouse arrow on the squares and get closer info.
The earthquakes are not bad but we have seen some good ones latly
most are 2 or less and you hardly feel them. It is the 5,6,and 7 you want to stay away from the after chocks go on for days
but it is very very very doutful that you will feel any while you are here unless you go to Parkfield, CA.

Our Gas cost more but it is cleaner cost to drive chart
