Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Ok since Ive got a full hatch and the bottom when closed rests on the back end of the frame..

How do I go about sealing that area so water wont get up into the galley floor area... or dust for that matter..

Maybe some 1/4" weatherstripping in a shallow dado on the inside face of the bottom hatch member where it meets your floor framing?

Maybe a seal for garage doors? Mine isn't sealed but there is a lip that stops most of the water from rolling in. Dust does get in but it doesn't create any more than the bag of charcoal that I store in the galley. I also didn't seal mine because it allows me to run my air contitioner with the hatch closed, the intake is in the galley.

Seal for garage doors? can you explain a little what this may look like? We may or may not have such what you speak of.. thats why Im curious.

Also how wide of a lip do you have there and what is it made of?

We have the Baltic Seals but that would be considered under the subject
cruelty to animals..

We used an old firehose to make a flap for the hatch , top and bottom , and even with much rainy weather , no leaks yet, but we did get some ants moving into the galley...
