Hi every one.I'm building from Steve Fredericks plans for the Rondack Lodge
Although it will never look as nice as his I will give it my best try.I have never worked with wood before, but I"m having a great time. The reason it is called Beta Tester is cause at the same time I'm building we are also trying to perfect the plans. Here are some pics of the progress I have so far.I finished the inside walls of the roadside and cut out the door for the curbside but don't have pics yet.

Looking good Hector.

I love the profile Steve developed. So, did you glass the entire sheet of wood, and then cut out the profile?

What will the final size be? 1 door I take it? I really like the look of that!

Earl, I had to epoxy than glass than epoxy again and than cut to profile.Steve told me that once it is finished than I have to put a few coats of marine varnish to bring out the shine. It is 13' long with 1 door. 5 widows.Steve has 4 windows but I live in Florida and if I had room for 10 windows I would have put them in LOL.

Hector,

Just love it. I just got finished looking at Steve's web site on the Lodge build. Incredible job he did!

Look forward to watching your build progress. I would love to take that on, I just don't have the space to build that big. Perhaps a mini lodge?

Planning one of those Steve? 8)

Ok what I did was I made two rectangular boxes (2X2X1/8 angle) one for the galley (small one) and one for the front, joint them with 2X2X1/8 angle.Than I laid down 2X3X1/8 tubing. It's a little different than what Steve did and we talked it over before I did the work and Steve approved the change.I think when the plans are done he will show both ways of doing it.as you can see, were ever the 2X3 touches the floor support I boxed in that area by welding 2X2X1/8 together.were the 2X3 are cut at about 30 degrees I welded 2.5 X1/4 flat stock.at the rear I boxed in 3 pieces cause I might put a bumper or something to carry the bikes.I still have to weld in the pieces for the step down.

I finished my sons bed. It's about 30X78 and it also gives me a nice storage area.the other big thing I fished was the fender wells.I made does out of 1/2" marine ply than I epoxy and coated with bed liner paint.I don't know if that is enough to keep the water out?next I will try to finish the rear bulkhead and start on the headliner
