Using Clear Shield (Invisible Mask) on Wood TDs...

I have this stuff on my current car, and it is amazing. It stops rock chips completely, and you can't see it from ten feet away.

Even after my wreck, the hood was all dented, but the clear shield was not punctured, torn or separated from the paint. It is tough stuff.

So, if you have a painted TD, or better yet, a varnished wood TD, what about using this on the front and top surfaces to protect your paint/varnish, and the wood beneath it.

Anyone tried it? Any thoughts?

hhhmmmm...

Looks interesting. What about even putting it on an aluminum tear? I have seen pictures of them with a vinyl protector. That stuff would seem better. Can you get flat sheets of it?

I looked at the web site and they sell bulk rolls of the film. Expensive, but if you wouldn't have to redo something, maybe its worth the price.

You can buy it in rolls, or in pre-cut kits. The stuff on my car was professionally applied, and started as roll stock. The best pros don't use the kits.

Puting it on a car is tough, because of all the complex curves and things to work around.

Putting it on a TD should be easy. Any TD surface prone to rock-chipping would benefit from this film.
