Has anyone designed a log cabin style tear
I have playing with that idea. The logs would be 4" and cut in half if not sliced even thinner (to reduce the weight). I am building a model to see how it looks. If the model looks good enough to make one full scale I will post a pic.

Someone not too long ago completed an outstanding Adirondacks-style TD. It didn't use logs per se (wieght!), but the look was absolutely awesome and really had the appearance and feel of a log cabin.
It had to do with the combination of wood and type of varnish used.
Can't remember, but it's that varnish where the smell like never goes away unless you REALLY follow directions.

I had given that some thought back before I started, a lot of thought.
I was thinking of using landscape timbers split because there rounded on each side and look like logs so you'd get 2 from each. There smaller for the small scale of the Tear and readily available. You could stain whatever color you wanted.
I think still think it could be a neat Idea. I was undecided at the time on the shape, going traditional tear shape or shape it like a tiny log cabin.

I've seen some kids playhouses and storage sheds made to look like log cabins. The log siding they use is scaled down. The "logs" are about 3" wide and look to be no more than 3/4" thick. Seems like it would be ideal for a tear. I don't know of a supplier, though. The people who make the sheds might sell you some.

IMHO...log cabins have a very "substantial and permanent" look to them. It can surely work on a TTT... but I would look for a design that complements the log accents...maybe a Vardo?

Here is one source of tongue & groove knotty pine log siding. They have some that is basically 1 x 6" for a little over a dollar a sq. ft. I think they are in Michigan? They may have dealers elsewhere?

I used their on-line estimator for 155 sq. ft. and it came out at $167.
The shipping would prolly be more than that?
