Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Bought a scooter and got me thinking of building a teardrop to haul it in and then use it for tooling around when camping. I have heard that the divider between cabin and galley gives strength. Am thinking building 5 foot tall, 5 foot wide 9 foot long. Am thinking of having cabinet a foot to foot and a half one each side would this help provide strength. Also what would I want to use for frame material(scooter weights 350, current teardrop comes in just under 1000.

how much weight can you put on a toung?

I've got a "Wild Goo7se*" project on the back burner. It will be similar to the one Angib pasted up for me on the other thread. I've picked up his drawings and the orional Popular Mechanics article off the web. I puchased engineered plans for a 3500# utility trailer just to be conservative. The design uses 4 x 2 x 1/8 tube main side rails, 3 x 3 x 3/16 tube full length tongue, with 3 x 2 x 3/16 angle crossmembers.

Looks like the tube frames we build really are overkill... unless you plan to roll a car inside!
