Ron, not sure what you are thinking of BUT aluminum moldings, meant for the RV industry or bought from one of the TD parts suppliers, bends easily and requires no annealing...I haven't seen any plastics that work out, they either are hard to seal or can't stand up to the elements.......

Yep... It's prolly better to get it from a local RV supplier as most on-line sources won't ship over 8' lengths. It comes 16' or more. You can goolge "aluminum incert molding" and find a lot. I think Grant on this forum also sells it.

...yep, I can buy it at a couple of local RV places...but only in some form of white...the current stock of mill finish I presently have came in 16' lengths onna freight truck and the shipping was more than what I paid for the product....

My rope bent real easily. Just see avatar.

But rope isn't for everyone:

Only for people who can't build, like me.

I tried garage door weather stripping and contact cement. It worked really well in Utah, but when I got the TD down here to AZ. the 114 degree temp. Melted the cement and the weather stripping was on the ground. It looked good for a while tho...Jim G
