I'm going to build my own Camp-Inn Teardrop.
On their website. they have an optional Alcan Cover (bra).
Any reason not to make the entire outside covering out of that material?

I want the whole thing to be black to match my new 2005 Tacoma X Runner that can be see here: http://www.zumwalt.biz/xrunner.php3

I have seen it done. There is a couple in Rockford Ill who buys parts from us for their homebuilt. They built a wood sided unit with the black covering like on our bra over the rest of the trailer.

The material to use is basically the material used to make toneau covers for pickup beds. This stuff is very tough.

About the only down side I see is that being black the camper will tend to get hot inside in the sun.

Hey folks,
I was looking for covering alternatives and found this place locally.

StarBrite, available in popular standard colors like white, black, and champagne. Custom paint matching is also available upon request.

StarBrite is one of the newest and fastest growing trends in the RV industry. StarBrite is made of a light gauge polished aluminum with an embossed tread plate finish to replicate that of heavy gauge steel tread plate at a fraction of the cost. StarBrite can be used for virtually any project requiring traditional tread plate solutions because it has some very unique features that simply can't be matched by its antiquated predecessor:

Very interesting product. Has possibilities. But seal along hinge lines and windows and doors might be a little more critical.
