TD is campable - The Little Critter went camping!!!

Well the TD is campable. I still have things to do to get it done but we took it camping from Wednesday 09/27 to Sunday 09/30. It rained three of five days and I had no cabin leaks. The hatch - well now that was another story. I found that I did not get the gasket all the way to the edge of the hatch hinge and thus water snuck around and down inside the hatch. We had soggy cookies. If I would have had an EZ-up over the TD there wouldn't have any leaks at all. The thunderstorms really poured down the rain.
Here a some pictures.
Sorry about the darkness here - it was about midnight or thereafter that I took this picture. I had a deadline to meet so we could go camping!!
Here I was putting on the trim.
Well here we are at the end of the driveway
Everyone was impressed with the finished/campable product.
Are so we were camping and DH was taking a nap, so I had to take the picture. This is the man who didn't know I had it in me to build a TD
And I definitely could not have done it without all your help on the T&TTT forum. Thanks!!
A special thanks:
-- to Andrew for the design profile layout of the Grumman 2.
-- to Grant for the the windows and trim that I ordered and your patience and emails back and forth on the door install.
-- to Kerry Y. for the fenders I ordered - they really dress the TD up. Had lots of nice comments on those already.
-- Steve F for the shop manual I bought - I spent many a times reading and re-reading - you did a terrific job on this!!
I started my TD build the end of May 2007 and had it campable by the end of Sept 2007. Now on to the finishing touches.
Would ya believe it - I'm already planning my next build!!!
It was fun to see the many heads turn to look at the TD when we were traveling, and of course when we got to where we were going the many tours that we gave. Some could hardly take it in that I built it. Go figure.
Although two of my friends when they heard others talking about it and that I built it said oh yeah I believe it - that she would be able to build it. What a great feeling!!
