Hi All. Wondering how much room in my galley do I need to allow for the ice chest. I am mostly concerned with up and down at this point. I am thinking that an inch for top and an inch for the bottom may be sufficient.
I have not yet shopped the slides and I am getting ready to cut the wood. I am going by the Generic Benroy plans.
Anyone else have experience with this????

You never mentioned the size of your ice chest so allowing 1" top & bottom should work but don't forget to calculate the tray bottom in your figures. Most normal drawer slides require 1/2 " on each side so for example your using 1/2" plywood for tray sides you need to allow a total of 2" for the drawer slides and drawer/tray sides. Add the 2" to the size of your ice chest plus a 1/4" for ease of removal and your good to go. :) Danny
