Is there such an animal as 5 x 9 plywood in 3/4 if so how hard is it to find. Thinking of building a 5 x 5 x 9 teardrop. With overtime at work I haven't had time to check,
Thanks

There is, but you will pay a premium for it. 4X9 can be had fairly easy. You would be better off just adding a foot to the length and width of a 4X8 sheet using dowels, biscuts or even a spline joint cut with a router.
If you look through this forum you will see thats how most people do it.
You should be able to get both sides and the bottom out of four sheets of 4X8 plywood. Buying four sheets of 4X8 would cheaper than buying three sheets of 5X9 .
I built my trailer 5X10 and used dowels to add the extra 1' width and 2' length. Aaron

Here's what I do....use a 3 wing cutter on a router and cut splines, make the splines out of 1/8" baltic birch and glue it all up, it's a full length splined joint. Did this today. You can use cheaper ply for things like the floor, and it's plenty strong. I also do it on the exterior sides. I use epoxy, but I'm sure that you could get by with just about any of the exterior glues out there. This is 1/2" ply in these pics. Doug

...you can sometimes find "ping pong" table tops but they are usually made of MDO, which is OK to use or particle board, which is not...I use a !/4" slot cutter for the router and make a spline outta 1/4" ply...use epoxy and it is as strong as can be........
