Kuffel Creek Plans for sale (single copy)

Postby greasywheats » Tue Oct 16, 2007 10:58 am

Selling my SINGLE COPY of the the Kuffel Creek plans for the 8' cubby and the 10' comet. The plans have been printed in color from my computer and bound in a spiral 3-ring binder. I purchased these plans early on and never used them during my build (I chose a different construction method). Therefore I am selling my only copy - I have not even kept a copy for myself.

This is a great resource for someone interested in building a Teardrop. The binder includes both the 8' model and and 10' model detailing all the different construction methods and parts. The plans cost me $99 direct from KC. Selling to any interested forum member for $69 Plus Free Shipping. I have checked for all the pages and it is complete. The only thing to ntoe is that pages 1-16 have some fading in the print because my black ink cartridge was running dry before I caught it and changed cartridges. These pages are primarily the author's backstory about teardrops, etc and are not directly related to building the teardrop and are almost entirely legible despite the light print. The remainder of the binder was printed on a new color cartridge and is in excellent condition.

If you are interested, please let me know. We could work out payment via PayPal or personal check- whatever you are comfortable with.

Thanks
Dennis

Dennis, I guess I am a bit confused. Are you saying you have copied the Kuffle Creek plans from start to finish and are selling them? It sounds like you are selling the color reproductions you made on your printer, if so, what are you doing with the originals? I wonder if Kevin Hauser would approve of what you are planning to do. I know nothing about copyright laws or such, and don't really care, but also don't want to see you do something you may regret later. A call to Kevin might be a good idea, just to see what thoughts he might have.
Roly, just my 2 cents, not trying to cause any problems, but perhaps preventing some.

Hi Roly- I understand your confusion and your concern. Let me clarify. I purchased a single copy of the KC plans (the one that contains both the Cubby and Comet). I purchased them via download rather than wait for them to be printed and shipped. I printed a single copy from the download for my personal use - the one that I am now selling here. I will not be selling an further "copies". As a mater of fact, I do not have a saved copy of my original download...so when this binder leaves me, I truly won't possess another copy.

My understanding is that as long as I do not make copies of the published materials for distribution, I am well within my legal (and ethical) rights to sell my personal "copy". Just like selling a book back to your local bookstore. Someone may have noticed that I posted this for sale several months ago, but did not sell it at that time, so please rest assured that this is not another "copy". Hope this clears up my offer.
Thanks
