Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I was looking over some of the older designs (1950 - 60 era) and it seems that they used a lot of hardboard and masonite. I know that hardbord is extremely bendable. Is this something that can be used reliably?

I was wondering how it would hold up it coated in epoxy or painted (with the same stuff Mike painted the Benroy with)

Sure would make it quick and easy to throw something together.

I gues the same questions pertains to 1/8 Luan, but it's not as bendable.

A few people have used hardboard while building their teardrops, myself included. I applied epoxy over it to seal it, fiberglassed it using 4 oz cloth, and then filled the weave, primed 3 coats, painted 3 coats, and added spots. It does bend easy, so make sure you reinforce it if you have flat areas on your build, especially the roof.
