3/4 thick enough for floor

I'm playing with an idea to build a teardrop to serve double duty and haul my scooter. I'm just wondering if 3/4 ply would be strong enough to support the extra weight. I am thinking of putting tubing down the center of the frame(lengthwise)and possibly tying it into the siderails as well as the front and rear crossmembers. Thoughts?

you could also use a piece of aircraft quality cable with turnbuckle & kingpost similar to railroad flatcar construction. may be less weight (than additional steel) for "teardrop" time and then put it back in when the scooter is aboard.

What are your flooring dimensions? ¾ ply will support the added weight depending on the size of the floor and structural support underneath. For example, ¾ will probably sag at six-foot clear span with the additional weight. However the addition of two (or more) cross supports will firm it up quite nicely. Again without knowing the dimensions of the floor it is hard to give an exact answer. I used ¾ for flooring in previous campers and it held up for the loads you are suggesting

It sounds to me like you have a good plan with the steel down the center. You could prolly get away with 1/2" plywood if you have good steel framing under it... JMHO
