Made New fender for my Tear Drop --- up-dated new pics

Postby legend lime » Wed Oct 24, 2007 9:03 am

I didn't like the fenders I installed on my TD because they left an opening from the fender to the side of the trailer, so I took one of the fenders and used the out side profile to make the black portion of the Mold, picked up some supply's and made my own fender. The fender that was on the TD was only 8" wide and this fender is 11 1/2"W and has a built in mounting surface on the inside of the fender. Now only one more to make.

:) Great looking fenders.

Did you make your own molds?

Is this something you do for a living?

Seems like you've got the process down.

YA I made the mold to, and no I don't do this for a living just something to help keep my PTSD in check. I was 3 years Army and 37 years Air Force until 23 Aug 07.

Legend
Thank you for your service.
Son just got out 31March, 100% disabled from military and VA, for PTSD and leukemia. Helping me at times with the tear under construction. I like the fenders. Are you going to market them?
Thanks

Very nice Legend. You should keep the molds... as you can see, there is definitely an interest!
