I Think I'm going crazy! Metal Channel Cutting Jig

Maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I was look at a couple of TT construction sites and of course I didn't write down the site URL. They had a really cool looking jig to cut the metal U channel that they built and installed on their table saw. I know I'm not going nutz - but can anyone help?

I think Kevin talks about it in the Cubby trailer plans... at least how to cut metal safely using a table saw.

I have cut a lot of aluminum extrusion on the table saw. Feed it slowly and wear complete face protection. Also give it a shot of something like WD40 as this will help. Ideally, a wood chop saw works better. If you are cutting thin sheet material, back it up with some sort of masonite. Make sure you have a good carbide tipped blade, high speed steel will gall up on you and it will get exciting really fast if it binds. Just my experiences. If you are thinking about iron, I would recommend against trying to cut it on a table saw with an abrasive blade. I'm cutting my iron on an old beater chop saw with an abrasive blade. I don't need to do that much and it beats buying a metal chop saw. Doug
