im planning on build a benroy that is 6' wide and 10' to accommodate a family of 4. A thought that just came to me is should there be windows toward the back where the queen size bed will be, or at least some type of vent for air movement. I am planning to have a/c but i would hate to have to run it just for air movement. i understand the windows in the doors will help with the front. Also if anyone has a moment they might be able to through something together in cad on how it might look with additional windows i would appreciate it greatly, my cad skills are horrible and are not seeming to get better

A fantastic fan or equivalent would be a nice option to have. Windows are great, but if there is no air movement and you don't want to run the AC...they are quiet and move a lot of air, and are easy on the battery...Doug

Doesn't anyone use their head for anything other than a place to put their hat. Do a sketch and see if you like it. If your worried about how it's going to look and it's going to be a 6x10, you ott to also think about making it 5' high. It'll look more right. Think things out and take your time. Your the only one who really knows what your after.

Here's a little 4x8 that I'm going to restore some day that has two windows on both sides. So why not?

My CAD skills aren't any good either, so I've been sketching out ideas to scale on graph paper. I like using this website to print my own graph paper:http://incompetech.com/graphpaper/multiwidth/. Under "grid spacing", leave the largest grid at "1" and the medium grid at "2" and change the smallest grid "6". This will give you a graph paper with the large grids being 1 foot by 1 foot, 6 inch by 6 inch medium grids and 2 inch by 2 inch small grids. This size will let you sketch up to a 10' long by 7' tall profile.

gage, i am thinking 5' high with a drop floor for standing room, we did a small cardboard mockup this weekend, with out the additional windows

Windows are nice not only for ventilation but to see what is making all that noise outside.
It could be a squirrel, bear or a chainsaw manicure in progress.
Seriously you need ventilation as it is a small space and air can get used up fast with lots of bodies breathing.
During the daylight is nice to see where things got stored with out having to turn on lights.

Yes Gage I may have! It looked to me that he has windows in the doors that don’t open and grayed out. I think I got that from a different post. Could be some owns else’s post.
