I've just installed a sink and hand pump in the emerging galley, I have a couple of plumbing questions/needs:


I need flexible drain hose for the sink. It has a standard fitting on the bottom so 1 1/2" pipe or hose, or of course it could be reduced down. Any suggestions here?


I will need a couple of gray water holding tanks, say 5 gallons each. I'm seeing rigid:

....yes Nik, they make the tanks in 5gal and up sizes...they also make a drain fitting for your sink that forms a "P" trap with a regular hose fitting on the side of it...should be available from RV supply houses....

thanks MJ, that's the part I do know. I could use specifics with the plumbing and experience with the holding tanks ;-)

I was thinking of something like this. It's an automotive drain pan.

Might be adaptable

I had used a blue plastic jerry can for my gray water when I had my pop-up,, I used a piece of garden hose and ran it from the outlet on the side to the can, approx 3 feet long. It worked well for several years..

thoughts here?[/quote] 15 FEET 0F 4" PVC WILL HOLD 10 GALLON.
A couple 7' runs manifolded together and installed on the underbelly of the tear. Use a couple of tees and a tee down to a hose bib for a drain. Tee in a connection up top from the sink drain line and there it is. Should be way cheaper than the 60 bucks they want for the 10 gallon dump.

I hope to install a 12 gallon potable water tank in the same manner!!

The grey water tank above will be installed also totally independent of the potable storage to avoid any problems.
