Hi all first post so here goes. I am gathering loads of info on how to build a teardrop trailer, My first question is that i am going to make a wooden base to sit on top of the trailer metal frame and use plywood or similar for the sides and the roof, if i do it this way would it be possible to fibreglass the whole wooden shell to make it watertight and body filler it, sand it and spray it or would the fibre glass crack due to the wood expanding and contracting with humidity? second question is is there any plans on the net to get more ideas from? the only plans i have came across are old ones from the 60`s and so on. Any reply is much appreciated. Ian

P.s is this an american forum site? cause i am from sunny england lol

Steve Frederick, a member of this site, sells a Builder's Manual in a CD format with well documented and time saving methods for building a teardrop with plywood and fiberglass. If you buy his CD he also has a free Internet discussion forum for builders to exchange ideas and to ask him questions. Here's the website where you can view his custom built trailers and order the manual http://www.campingclassics.com
