Have been lurking for a while and just sent my introduction, already have my question for you all. I am building a Cubby and am almost ready to skin it. Is it necessary to fill in the countersink holes on the side of the plywood with bondo or anything before applying the aluminum?? Just wondering if they will show through somehow??
Thanks
Clint

Cint,
You should NOT have to do anything to screw holes, etc., if you are putting AL skins on.

I thought the same thing as well, but ended up not bondo'ing them at all. This will be the 3rd year in use and no issues so far.

If you Bondo the holes you can sleep at night. Otherwise you'll never know for sure. It makes for a clean job

This will be my 4th year without issues and I did NOT fill any holes!

In my line of work employers and customers require holes to be filled in the sub straight to avoid telegraphing. I agree you may never have any problems but the little extra effort is worth the peace of mind. Danny

Ok, guys, thanks for the answers. Since they go both ways, I think i will play it safe and bondo the countersink holes. Won"t take that long won"t hurt.
Thanks.
