Newbie here currently designing my first after days of sleep deprivation thanks to this forum - LOL.

A/C installation seem to be a trick so I am wondering if this would work.

Properly supported of course - do you think its possible to recess a small window air conditioner into the floor with a panel that would cover it when not in use ??? It could even be removed for travel. - properly gasketed and flanged, it could probably seat itself by its own weight if you follow me.
Yes - I'm suggesting that it be installed vertically so to speak. Lift out panel and turn it on - simple. and no worries about air as it sticks out the bottom of the floor. It was a major light bulb on moment.

Possible ??

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure you can't install those in a vertical position. They have to be horizontal because of the compressor oil....I think. Do you still have the manual? Might want to check in there about installation.

You can search the forum and find some pretty neat ways of installing the A/C. From installing in the galley (top or bottom) and having it come through the bulkhead wall, to installing it in the front on drawer slides with its own cover.

Happy you found the playground SD. Don't know if you can use those things vertical but you can get air conditioners that blow up. I have one. You can possibly make a rack in the floor so it gets outside air but you will need to vent the return air from the cabin. Probably work best to vent the cool air too.

No, not possible. It is not designed to work that way. Lopazopy is right about the oil. That is why, when you tilt any refrigeration device with a compressor, you want to let it sit for a while in the proper position before turning it on.
