I have not, but we want a privacy curtain, and I have been studiyng different photos and designs of attachment methods. I have found some awning channel from suppliers, but just haven't decided on how I want to proceed. I am also considering a luggage rack, that would be capable of attaching a rail or pipe of some kind to attach a curtain to.
One thought would be to have the laggage rack hinged on one side and flip it over to attach a curtain to, but I think it would be to short (I'm 6'2')
Snaps along the roofline might be a possibility. But you are thinking of a tube of some kind?

I saw a gentleman at LCG 1 that made one that folded on the side of his tear.

This is Rap's. The tubing runs thru eye bolts in the roof line, and he just flips it over when setting up.

Dave, I like those fittings. They look a lot cleaner looking than just a pipe sitting flush to the aluminum sides. Ill have to see if they carry them at the local Boaters World. Danny

I'm working on some fabric to tarp in the sides and front.



I'll have to move the 2 overhead supports in a bit so that when the fabric is over them, they will be under the awning.

The fabric will be stored on the outer uprights when not tarped in instead of on the side of the trailer.

I just fit under the awning.

I have been brainstorming this roof rack idea also. Have found out schedule 40 2" pvc just fits inside the 2 1/2 " with a few thousands of an inch to spare. By using tee fittings you could build the rack out of the
2 1/2 . By using the same tees put on 4 feet whereever you have support (spars) to support and attach the rack with closet connections. The 2" u shaped loop would slid into the front and back rail and telescope out when needed. It can be removed and refitted to the opposite side if need be. With the new plastic paints it could be finished to match or contrast as you desire.

I had mixed feelings while needing the extra toteing space I didn't want to spoil the view of the night stars thru my lexan roof by stareing at the underside of a roof rack but you guys just came thru for me because what I hadn't thought of was drilling thru the side wall and supporting the 2 1/2" tubes off of the underside of my spars for the 2" extendable curtain rod UNTIL NOW !

Not sure if you could do this as a retro fit, but you might!

Kerry That is exactly what I am talking about ! I just came in from outside with the tape measure. All that will be needed is a hole saw in the right size. 2 Holes thru the outer skin and undersling the larger pvc under the spars and slid in the curtain support. On my tear the rod will rest right on top of the porch light when shoved in for transport.

Here is my version of the privacy curtain (curtain is an actual shower curtain used for mock-up. Wife is sewing a new one. Curtain simply unhooks, and rod slides back onto roof rack for transport.
