I have these side markers and I'm ready to put them on but don't want to drill unwanted holes in my trailer. Which way is front with these things?

Either way you think looks best, but I would put the fat end toward the front of the trailer to match the shape of (most) tears.

I'm just making it look like progress, but still have a long way to go. Missing one marker light also, have to figure out how i'm going to ground these darn things. :x

run a separate wire from the trailer frame to the metal base of the light fixture, that should work 8)
If it itches. scratch it

I went to great lengths to make sure I only bought fixtures that had 2 wires, just so I wouldn't have to deal with this issue. Good luck.

 oh the pictures we forget to take. If you take the plastic cap off, make a small hole and use a small terminal to a wire that goes to the trailer frame. :? :? Ok this doesn't sound right....where's my camera?

BRB
The white wire is the ground and the brown is attached to the original wire (black) this is the passenger side and the hot is joined to the trailer wires underneath.

If you use smaller gage wire than I did it will be sooooo much easier. I think that is #14.
