Heikki, Take a look at my pictures on pages 21,22,23 & 24 of my build pictures Link.

Basically you build a box, and put a face plate on it. Oh and sliders.

Heikki, that is moulding I purchased at the local hardware store (lowes). Its pre-made. I just cut it at 45% and glued it on some birch 3/8" ply for the face plate.

Here is one of my cabinet doors, but it the same process.

Yes, it smaller that 1/4" , but 1/4" will do also.

You don't put the, what I call face plate, on until you make the box.

Make sure you get good a dimension between the sliders. and that will be the width of your drawer.

I first made the boxes to wide, and had to pull them apart and cut and inch off the width. I was lucky, Dad came over and helped me get it right and installed them for me.

I ordered mine from Rockler and all you do is glue and put them together.

Heikki-

You could get stainless steel drawer boxes & mount just a wood front.
