Would you believe 2 days in the making/fitting of the mounting blocks. Right now they are test mounted-- need to skin the baffle and wire before final mount. This is just the mounting block that I made on the passenger side.

With the light loosely fixed and surround in place they look like this.

I'm really getting excited about the way NAPSACK is turning out!

Not sure I'd want to sell them...but you're right they did take some patience. Those are LED lights as someone spotted. I think they're going to look good when lit up.
As to how then try this -- se if you can understand:

After construction it was several coats of paint -- primer first then the top coat. The white rubber is designed for doors but it worked.

After glueing the piece together the trick then is to cut the curve at either end of the light. To do thisI placed a piece of scrap wood under the to crosspiece so that it sat level on the bandsaw table. You can temporarily fix it to the block with duct tape to make it easier.

I love those lights....... I was thinking of making fins .... like on an old Cadillac. I thought it would look so cool sticking out from the curve of the hatch. But I was concerned about holding them on securely. I'm still haven't decided but there's still time.

I admire those who take the time to do the job right. You'll forget how long it took & you'll always get kudos on the visual effect. Nice job  Danny
