Got the lights on and the license plate mounted. Here you can see the vinyl around the rearmost curve.

and with the fenders positioned -- I'm going to paint these the same as the roof/vinyl -- the side walls of the tear will be finished in Pepper White same as my Mini Cooper

:applause: :applause:  Love the vinyl Phillip. Do you have padding under it? You have done a fantastic job getting it stretched smoothly.

I was concerned about it 'puckering" when in the sun but I pulled it out of the garage this morning and the temps are in the high 80's -- It looks just as good. I didn't glue it but I did glue the thin foam padding beneath the vinyl.

I use a product from Autoglym on our vinyl. Cleans and protects it..and gives it a nice shine. ;)

I also glued my vinyl onto the foam underneath. So far so good and now the hatch has it as well. ;) ;)

Im worried about the Arctic Winter on it though..

Yeah that's what I figured and you know what...I reckon I could change it out for a different color in less than a day.

Having read this thread about using vinyl I went out and found some in blue but when I asked the woman in the shop she said that the vinyl fabric wasnt waterproof. The Vinyl looks like this: Image.

Are there different grades of this vinyl, i.e. some are waterproof and some arent?? Or is this suitable to cover my teardrop and the ply underneath will have to provide the weather protection??

I did buy one that was designated "Marine Vinyl" then I set it in a bowl with a well in the middle of the vinyl and filled it with water and left it overnight......not a drop came through the vinyl.....you might want to try the test yourself...
