No Fender Welt to Fit.. Can anyone help?

Ive been looking for Fender Welt to fit the fenders we have.

Went looking today but found nothing to work with.

Any suggestions or ideas..

Try somebody that deals with old volkswagons, the bugs used fenderwelt.

I think that I would keep looking for the welting.

But.... if you do not find any, you could use silicone caulk. I used it on mine, but...... that does not make it right!!

I just applied it to the inside of the fender nice and smooth and even. Let it dry and put the fender on and tightened it down.

Try using upolstery welt for cushions....made the same (but perhaps not of the same material)......

I happen to have the caravan tent welting.. would that work? Also is it ok to use the vinyl that I have left over to cover the welting that is normally for the tent or awning ?

Let me get a pic of it to show you..

here it is..it has a round plastic inside.. :thinking:

I,ll see if there is a bug accessoires shop nearby..

Is there a certain thickness or diameter shape it needs to be or?

Philip what do you think if I use the stuff I show photos of and apply some of my left over vinyl around it? Would that work?

Nope no dentures, all choppers are mine to this very day.. But bazooka gum.. :lol: :lol:
