Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Anyone aware of a removeable teardrop? I'd like to be able to remove my yet to be built teardrop so I can use the Snowbear trailer for my snowmobile, boat, and hauling.

I'm not planning any electrical wiring and will use stick up battery lights. I'm also not going to have a rear hatch. Plan on using the back end of my PT Cruiser for the kitchen.

Kuffel Creek's "Comet" is based on the teardrop plans featured in the September 1947 issue of Mechanix Illustrated. About a year ago, I was surfing the internet and found a website that featured that 1947 article in PDF format and I immediately downloaded it. I should have bookmarked it because I've since lost it, but in the original article, the plans were drawn up with the exact idea that you're asking about - namely a chassis that can do double duty. Kuffel Creek's plans are NOT drawn up that way so you might go looking for the "Trailer for Two" article.

Thanks for the response, Dave. So far I haven't been able to find the article. My plan is to extend the camper over the wheels. This will give me four corners to jack up (or lift, if my sons are available!), and drive the trailer out from under it.

I've got that document on my website. I found it beyond helpful. Even though I could have built the tear from those plans I still bought the Kuffle Creek plans. Just love those shopping list.

I'm pretty happy with the four iron tabs that fit in like a glove to the four brackets on my trailer. Four bolts and it's on or off.
